I have a co-worker from Iran. We have worked to hard find common ground on which to form a frendship. One of the things we have been delighted to find is how much we both deeply love the poetry of Omar Khayyam. We both were happy to find this site, It is helping my friend with her English Language studies, having the Farsi text next to the English is ever so helpful...thank you!

Forgive my English... I think this is a very usefull site, in the name of culture. However, it would be more complet if you insert the contribute of Khayyam in Algebra, with his resolution of cubic equations. He wrote it in his "book": Risala. Thank you.

I think you have done a great job, Mr. Shahriari! I am certainly going to recommend your website to my Study group. We are supposed to have a discussion in January 2004, and I will be the speaker. Wish me luck! P.S.: At the present time I am reading Sadegh Hedayat's book about Khayyam. Best Regards

Beatiful page. Go on like this or keep it like this. When I 'publish' a little private booklet, is it allowed to ise your french and german traanslations? I am planning to create a variorum-edition english (FitzGearld) - German - French. So your 'material' is interesting for me. Sicerely, Nico van de Pas, Utrecht, The Netherlands

I enjoyed the site but could not find any information about the pictures, or how they were supposed to link to the rest of the site. Are they recently painted? Did Omar paint them? What is their significance? Are they simply a decoration? Thanks.
